Enterprise Energy Limited is an energy company whose activities include coal, and oil and gas exploration. The coal areas are located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, whereas the oil and gas focus is primarily in the Cooper Basin in South Australia and Queensland. Traditionally the Company has been involved in conventional oil and gas exploration and its venture into coal followed the reconstitution of the Board of Directors in May 2007.
The Board is chaired by Executive Director Dr Ray Shaw, who has more than 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr Norm Zillman, non-executive director has a long history in the Australian oil and gas sector including founding MD of Queensland Gas Limited. Dr Mark Elliott is a resources geologist with more than 30 years experience in a wide range of commodities including minerals and coal. Mr David Lindh, OAM, is a founding director of Enterprise Energy and has a distinguished career in resources law.
The Company aims to return the share price to peak historical levels, in the short term, via the introduction into new exploration, production and appraisal opportunities. One of the principal goals is to establish production and a revenue stream in the sort term in order to provide certainty and sustainability. Additionally, strong organic growth can only be guaranteed through access to highly prospective acreage. In this regard the Company is actively assessing opportunities to gain such access through farmins as well as merger and acquisition opportunities.
The new Board has indicated a preparedness to look beyond the historical footprint of opportunities in order that the Company participates, involving a mix of broader energy opportunities consistent with the expertise of the Board. The recently announced farmins and participation in a coal exploration venture in the Bowen Basin represents the first such move in this direction.
