Covering an area of approximately 500 km2, in portions of PEL 106 and PEL 91, this is the largest exploration 3D program ever undertaken in the Cooper Basin. Enterprise Energy contributed to the overall $7.6 million cost, for its share of coverage across the Udacha, Paprika, Rossco and Smegsy blocks.
It is anticipated that processing and interpretation of these data may take a further 3 to 6 months to complete before targets are selected for drilling. At least 3 to 6 wells are scheduled for farminee drilling.
The Spinel 3D seismic survey is the largest reconnaissance survey of its type conducted in this part of the Patchawarra Trough. It is expected to provide detailed imagery at key reservoir levels leading to the identification of new structural and stratigraphic targets. The distribution of the survey will enable it to be tied into an earlier 3D seismic survey of 80 sq km recorded by Great Artesian and funded by Energy Investments Limited within the Paranta Block portion of PEL 106.
