The Arcturus Project consists of EPC 1221. It is currently held by Springsure Creek Coal Pty Ltd, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bandanna.
Location and Infrastructure
The project covers an area of approximately 430 km2 within the Southern Bowen Basin. It is located 35 km southeast of Emerald, and 22 km east of the town of Springsure. It is immediately south of the Springsure Creek project, and about 15 km west of the Rolleston and Blackwater rail line.

Exploration History
During the 1970’s and through 1980’s various petroleum companies explored for hydrocarbons in the project area. A total of thirty-eight petroleum exploration and coal stratigraphic, including four core holes have been completed within the permit. Excellent seismic data exist throughout the easternmost prospective area of the permit. Limited seismic coverage exists within the permit outside of this area. The current seismic coverage demonstrates stratigraphic continuity through the reported resource area. Drill hole spacing is irregular, with the majority of the core holes and chip holes concentrated in the eastern area of EPC 1221.
Resource Estimate
An inferred resource has been estimated in accordance with the JORC Code totalling 138 Mt of high volatile, low rank bituminous coal, 98 Mt of which is found at depths less than 60 metres. The estimate includes only coal seams greater than 0.5 metres in thickness. No coal intersections deeper than 80 metres were used in preparing the resource estimate. Drill hole locations and domain distribution within the tenement are shown in the figure below.
